Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for automotive components and materials.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
- Continuously monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Negotiation and Contract Management:
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Draft and manage procurement contracts, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to optimize expenditure.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
- Monitor and report on procurement expenditures to management.
- Vendor Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Seek out new suppliers to expand the supplier base.
- Collaborate with vendors to improve lead times, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Materials Planning and Inventory Control:
- Work closely with production and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality control, to meet production and quality requirements.
- Communicate procurement status, challenges, and opportunities to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Mechanical) or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive components, materials, and suppliers.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Ability to analyze costs and implement cost-effective strategies.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
