Job Title: Assistant Manager, Partnerships

Job Summary:
All team members at Sahayog must play a crucial role in building institutional knowledge,
culture and live by collaborative values. A partnership mindset is a cornerstone for Sahayog
Foundation. This role is pivotal for the organisation. The expectation from this role is to
build strong and long-term relationships with all non-profits. They should bring
knowledge and understanding of programme delivery, M&E systems, reporting
processes and the sector to champion the culture of collaboration both internally and
externally.
Essential Functions:
Management of Partnership Projects
• Brings an informed knowledge and perspective of the non-profit sector
• Ability to conduct assessments of potential NPO partners based on the protocols
established by Sahayog Foundation
• Conduct in-depth research of existing NPOs who can be considered as potential
partners
• Assist in due-diligence and compliance process of all potential NPO partners
for formal engagement
• Supports the Partnership Lead in conducting quality deep dives, delivery of
capacity building and future readiness initiatives for NPO partners
• Coordinate with the NPO partners to get the necessary details for the reports
• Support the Partnership Lead in ensuring execution of fundraising support for NPOs
(if any)
• Ensure usage of relevant Sahayog Foundation tools
Reporting:
• Collects key performance data from partnerships
• Prepares and maintains accurate and detailed project impact reports of
all activities undertaken under NPO partnerships
• Ensures all partnership related initiatives are well-documented and captured in
the relevant reporting templates.
Knowledge
• Building relevant partnership related tools and surveys to understand mindsets
• Driving knowledge through capability building initiatives – masterclasses,
publications and papers
Communication:
• Maintains relationships with all non-profit partners of Sahayog
• Coordinates with all non-profit partners
• Champions Sahayog and its philosophy of collaboration with all external
stakeholders
• Shares relevant project information with the Sahayog Communications Team
Additional Responsibilities:
• Stay updated on current industry trends and policy changes being proposed
and/or implemented by the Government, collaboration work undertaken by NPOs
and donors.
• Provide support to the founding team at Sahayog in donor-management and fundraising
What you need?
• Master’s Degree in Social Work/ Development Studies/ Social Entrepreneurships/
Demography or comparable degree in Social Science
• Prior experience in programme implementation is a requirement and/or partner
management is a bonus
• 4 to 5 years’ experience in a non-profit entity with similar role
• Skills:
o Strong working knowledge and understanding of the development sector
o Knowledge of Due Diligence
o Excellent understanding of the program irrespective of domain
o Skills related to institution building or organisation development
o Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Hindi
